how to get to undynes house from mtt resort

I'm trying to backtrack waterfall to get some stuff from Gerson so I can fight Asgore with more healing items, and uh, I'm just stuck at where the color puzzle is, did I screw myself over?

Sorry for the late reply, but just in case it's still relevant for anyone: if you go right from where the colour puzzle is, you can take the R3 elevator down to L1, which will take you back to the entrance to Alphys' lab; from here, you can go down to the Riverperson, whose Waterfall shortcut will deliver you to immediately opposite Gerson's shop.
