Napstablook in the Underground

It just occured to me that Napstablook is a ghost. You can't kill him as he is already dead and just lowers his hp to make you feel better.He can fade in and out and even forgets he's a ghost sometimes (As seen in the ruins should you decide to fall down a hole to talk to him.) So what's he doing underground with a bunch of monsters? Can he go through the barrier? Does he have a soul? Is he considered a monster?

Ghosts have monster souls, so I guess he can't leave

He's still "alive", he's a type of monster that's a ghost. So the same rules apply to him. You can't hit him because, well, he's a ghost.

Napstablook never went corporeal. They themself has said that they go in the Ruins to be alone.

technically, mad dummy only goes corporial when he becomes glad dummy, right? otherwise the ghost is just "living" in the object, right?

And the ghost living in the Dummy went corporeal.

The ghost inside Mad Dummy and the ghost inside Dummy are cousins. Whenever Napstablook comes in at the end of the Mad Dummy fight, neither of them recognize each other. Hell, Napstablook just calls the Mad Dummy "your friend", implying that that the two don't know each other. Which THEN implies that Napstablook and MTT's cousin is the Dummy without anger issues.

really strange that there are 4 ghosts, but one doesent even show up aside from that mention. i always just assumed it was blookey, giving the dummy thing a try because he found "farm life" pointless and painful after MTT left.
