The sans is ness theory is something
Hello everybody! I am flootz, and I ejoyed the game undertale. It's a sweet little game with okay humor and good characters. So, why have I named this thread what it is? I recently found a game theory on this (If you didn't watch it, here it is.)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYdDUXyFocY

But I am going to share my opinon on this theory. As somebody who played both Earthbound and Undertale, I find the theory really silly and has zero to none relevance to both plots. The point that Papyrus is Starman is absurd, and the rest of it is just really poorly done. I belive that the theory was made to cash in undertale's critical sucsess to drive traffic. What do you guys think of it? I tried to be as polite as I can, and I hope that you could too.

There's already a discussion about this, but I'll leave it at that.

Personally, it's dumb to me. Papyrus being a Starman is absurd and Sans being Ness doesn't even make sense. He suggests that Ness used the machine and ended up in the Underground, and because the machine can't transport organic matter, he became a skeleton. One major problem with that: bones are organic matter.
That's not entirely true. Only about 30% of the bone is organic, the other 70% being made up of an inorganic mineral called calcium phosphate.

But really, that doesn't change the fact that the theory is a very, very thin slice of swiss cheese, having a plethora of holes on top of being extremely flimsy. For instance:
  • If Ness did use the phase distorter, why didn't he just die like any normal person would after losing all of his organic material?

  • How did Frisk recognize Sans in the photos if he was a human at the time?
I would continue the list, but you already get the idea. Really, this theory was mediocre at best and I'm glad we can all see that.

I really stopped looking into stuff after FNAF. That whole thing was pretty crazy. With Undertale, I just say, "that's just how it is."

Well, I can't really say you're "wrong" for doing that since it is a video game, so...

I have to say, it was not one of MatPat's good theories. Honestly, he should really stick to his scientific and economic theories that can actually be tested or verified by third-party sources (Halo Armor's fatal flaw, the value of Minecraft's Diamond Armor or the coins in the Mushroom Kingdom, etc.).

The badge. OMG, it's Franklin badge! confirmed
The skeleton with a mouth and eyes is a robot that didn't even have a mouth. woah!
Sans is in Smash? No way!
"A pic of sans with 3 other people" Ness had 3 companions. Wow!
Broken Machine? Like the one in Earthbound? Cool

Have I made my point clear?
