[SPOILER] Why is Sans so popular?

Just wanted to discuss this along with why there's a sizable dislike for Soriel.

Sans and Papyrus are most likely the most popular characters. Sans probably a little more in comparison. A comic relief character if done right can always steal the show, and Sans is that and more, with having a very lazy personality a lot of people here can identify, yet is still rewarded with having absurd powers.

Think about Sans in a dad role... he will be awful... everyday in grillby's, then when he is in home, he will be sleeping or doing nothing, because he is too lazy to even pick some socks.
Heck, Toby confirmed that Sans is too lazy for sex... and Toriel needs to have a child if she doesn't wants to see how everyone dies!

and toriel hasnt aged since asriel died because her species ages with their children

asriel is still a child and since he died as a child toriel cant be too old

if asriel was 10 when he died and toriel was 25 when her parents died shed technically be around 35 throughout her time in the ruins

if papyrus is 25 (he seems to big to be a teen) and sans is say 5 years older theyre literally 5 years apart

people can have an age gap around there without their relationship being pedophillic or disgusting


but yeah these numbers are just my idea of reasonable ages for these characters i could be way off sans could be like 12 and papyrus is secretly a 5 year old and toriel is actually 52 and this entire post is cancer im going to get murdered for this

shipping doesnt really have to be logical tho youre entitled to your opinion and entitled to be entirely canonical but really when have you ever seen a fanmade ship that actually makes a ton of sense :/ (im talking about the kind of sense alphyne makes)

1 and 4 are the same.
2, Santa was actually Asgore and not Sans... and he was... a pretty bad brother, he didn't clean his room, pick the socks, and do bad puns that makes Papyrus crazy
3, What he did was probably the Abandoned Quiche.
5, He promise that he will protect the human, but all what he did was tell bad puns and sell some hotdogs, he didn't protect the human against Undyne, Mettaton or Asgore... and even if you didn't kill anyone, he will scare you in the Hotel saying that if he didn't do that promise, you will be dead....
6, no, Asgore and Toriel are not going back, Toby also confirmed that, that's why I think Toriel doesn't need anyone to take care of Frisk, she did it pretty good in the ruins by herself.
