Soriel is a ship between Sans and Toriel, that is what it is

Is it because people see the age gap between the two, or they see Asgore and Toriel's marriage as something that should never ever be touched?

Sans is popular because he's one of the easiest main characters to draw.

Like EvilDylan said, Sans is easy to draw (though I've never attempted to draw him myself since I'm crap at drawing). He's also a funny character who's both laid back to the point of being lazy and a total badass when he needs to be.

Sans is funny, and he's also somewhat of a deep character. There's a pretty sad reason behind his laziness. Also yeah, he is pretty easy to draw I guess.

I guess people hate Soriel because the idea of two main leads of opposite gender falling in love by the end of the movie/game is just painfully cliche. Still surprised at the backlash regardless. It's like literally the only ship that has any remote form of basis to it, yet everyone hates it the most.

It's not that I can't draw Sans well, it's that I can't draw anything well.

Not that it's an issue. My talents lie elsewhere.
