Does the difficulty level change the ending?

I want to know if you get different endings depending on the difficulty before I start playing.

There's no difficulty option. You just PLAY.

There's a secret hard mode you can trigger by naming your character something specific. It's a joke mode that ends once you get out of the very first area of the game, with its own unique ending.

Other than that, there's no difficulty settings.

No difficulty settings. Toby Fox did say something about adding "Hard Mode", I believe. You can access it right now, but it's pretty much a joke. To access it you must put in a certain name when you are asked to name the fallen human. (HINT: BEAT PACIFIST MODE. A NAME WILL POP UP AT SOME POINT AFTER BEATING THE FINAL BOSS)

Three Major, Completely Distinct endings excluding the Hard Mode ending.

There's slight variations of those endings. Neutral actually has over ten variants.
