Because Papyrus is a font and also is a kind of paper that was used since the Ancient Egypt.
Undertale didn't create the word "Papyrus"

I know that? Just because a word already exists doesn't mean that there will be a store called it though, and it's pretty cool that there's a store with the same name as a character most of the people here love?

But it isn't about that character. That's like pretending a vegetable is a disabled person, their names are same but they don't mean the same thing

Why does it even matter that the character and the store are not the same thing? Did I ever say they were? I posted the picture because my friend and I found it cool that there was a store called Papyrus, why you gotta get so defensive about it? Can't you just enjoy a picture and move on? I've also found pictures people have made of Papyrus standing in front of that store, so obviously lots of people are enjoying it.

Why are you even here if you don't like it? Also, when did anyone ever claim that the store was named after Papyrus? You started on that, not me. All I said was that it was cool that the character and the store shared the same name and you got defensive about me claiming the store was named after the character?

Also yes, i know its a joke, there are also drinks or peppermints called "frisk" and its just funny.

See it as a pun. The most simple pun as can be. See it as walking down the street with your best friend who is also a huge fan, and just go "gasp look" and then both laugh about it. Nobody is "claiming" it.
