What are Undyne, Sans, and Papyrus?

Other then obvious monsters, it's said that only boss monsters can live forever, in-game Papyrus, Undyne, and Sans all survive a little while longer then death. While all other monster except Toriel and Asgore turn into dust right away.

Monsters don't live forever, Asgore and Toriel's species stop aging as their parents die, and then only start aging again once they have a child.

//Worded it incorrectly, sorry for that, what I'm saying is that it's said that boss monsters souls can be on after death, not turning to dust right away. They are also stronger then regular monsters, given the simple matter. Would it be wrong to call Undyne, Sans, and Papyrus boss monsters?

how can sans he a boss monster? he's the easiest enemy in the game!

A boss monster is a sub-species of monsters that look like a goat-humanoid that have souls humans have a chance to absorb upon a boss monsters death. Sans is not a boss monster he's just really good at dodging and coming up with hard-to-dodge attacks.
