Undertale
[SPOILERS] How did Asgore get those human souls?
Asgore's shown to have 6 human souls stored, but...
If humans are extremely strong compared to monsters in terms of fighting, how did Asgore get those souls? Wouldn't the humans have killed Asgore?

That's why you get dunked on so much by Sans, Undyne the Undying, Flowey, Asgore and any other boss you encounter, right?
Sans dodges your attacks, Undying has determination. Flowey isn't a monster.
Sans is still extremely tough attack-wise. And the only reason you can oneshot him is because he only has 1 HP, and you're extremely powerful for grinding and gaining lv.
Flowey is a vessel without a soul, he was injected with determination by Alphys. That's how he's alive. Gawd.

Isn't it said that humans are MUCH more powerful than monsters?
Humans are indeed far more powerful than monsters, but bear in mind most (if not all) of the humans involved in this game were children. Children are not physically capable of fighting very well, meanwhile Asgore and his royal guard are all trained in the art of combat.

But how do we know they were children? Where's that shown or said in the game?

Toriel's box of children shoes.
My theory is that they all died to traps. Setting traps is a monster tradition according to various NPC's, and it also fits with much of the meta commentary the game has, considering how RPG's usually have monsters and traps in their dungeons.

And he's still a monster.

He turns to dust when you kill him.

It's also a monster that inhabits him.

He is.
Well, not biologically but eh
Is more like an amalgamate
Just adding some more stuff~

None of the children ever reached Asgore. That's the reason you never see any armor or weapons laying around past Hotland (not counting the dagger and locket obviously). But they definitely died ("Every human that comes down here meets the same fate. I have seen it again and again. They come, they leave, they die."), so they must've been killed by monsters, or by natural causes.

Keep in mind that it's been a long time since any human has fallen down (as Toriel says). And Frisk must've fell down after Sans promised to protect any human that comes through the door to the Ruins, probably because Toriel couldn't take it anymore after having already lost 6 children. And Sans' little monologue could imply that HE killed some of them.

Papyrus has never seen a human, neither has Undyne. So they weren't around when the other humans were killed. There was a LOOOOOOOONG time where nothing happened, so obviously a lot of monsters must've reproduced and died, creating a world filled with monsters that have no idea what humans look like, which is why a lot of them treat you like a monster.

okay, i'm done.

The weapons and armor you find throughout the game (minus temmie armor and the knife/locket in New Home) are all implied to belong to their previous human owners.

Ruins: Faded ribbon and toy knife (Obviously a child)
Snowdin: Manly bandanna and tough glove (Child martial arts student, judging by bandanna description of having abs drawn on it)
Waterfall: Old tutu and ballet shoes (Ballet dancer, typically given to young females)
Gerson: Cloudy glasses and torn notebook (Illegible scrawls could be from a child who tends to doodle a lot)
Hotlands: Stained apron and burnt pan (Possible home economics student? I remember taking it back in middle school, so it's possible)
Catty & Bratty: Cowboy hat and empty gun (I'm not sure about this one, given the description of the hat. I can only assume the owner might be a child who likes historical items, possibly from an ancestor)

But in the hallway leading to the Ruins' exit, Toriel says Asgore will kill the protagonist if they leave the Ruins.

Well, that must be her assumption then, because that's impossible.
1)Kill a hooman.

2)Get a glass jar.

3)Put the floating soul thingy in the glass jar I previously mentioned.

4)Rinse and repeat.

He doesn't turn to dust. In Genocide, you keep hitting Flowey until he turns into nothing. No dust. Nothing. In neutral, after fighting Omega Flowey, if you decide to kill him, his face just disappears and he turns into a normal flower. Once again, no dust.

He turns into dust? I thought he just becomes a normal flower on neutral and gets cleaved away to nothing on geno.
