Can't find any monsters

I'm doing a genocide run of undertale and jut made it to the waterfall. After killing 1 or 2 monsters i SAVED and left the game when i came back i could not incounter any monsters (It's been over 10 minute's) help.

Make sure you're in a room where monsters spawn. Hold up and down against a wall to spawn monsters faster.

i was doing that also im in the first checkpoint room in the waterfall

That room doesn't spawn monsters.

Usually when there's NPCs, nothing spawns. Go to the room with the bridge seeds, you can get encounters there.
