Undyne still wanting to kill you is normal. Just pay attention to what she says during the battle. Like Toriel, she uses a bit of a unique spare mechanic compared to other monsters. Maybe something she says will pop out and be relevant to how you can mercy her.
Hints :
- In the part where Toriel leaves you and asks you to wait. Wait a few minutes (About 10 minutes real time) and you will get "calls" from Toriel.
- I think this happens about 4 times. So yes that means 40 minutes of waiting.
What happened to you is the inteded end of the puzzle. Whether you discard the dog or use the dog, the dog steals the artifact.
You are left with dog Residue. When used, it will recreate itself and fill your inventory, but has a chance for some of the copies to be Dog Salad, which heals a random amount of HP.
As for Muffet, try to bring 8 healing items. Pay Muffet on the turns she will use whichever attack gives you trouble (the sign displayed shows which attack she will use that round) to drastically reduce damage recieved that turn. After about 17 turns (so after her third big pet summon) she should spare you.
but im dying to the genocide final boss 1.5x speed.
so i will be meming myself if i did that.
