I just can't beat Undyne (pacifist)

Dodging the spears in red is easy enough. Blocking the normal arrows in DDR mode, I've mostly got down. But by the time I get to her third attack phase and it's almost/entirely all yellow arrows, I'm just stuck.

Maybe it's how my brain is wired or something, but after hours of frustration, I'm kinda thinking Undyne can just have her damned soul.

Just remember that when it's yellow, you'll have to guard the OPPOSITE side of where it's heading.

Don't count on reflex on those arrows. It'll just screw you up.

I get the orientation change, but between that and the speed, it gets to be too much. If it were a hair slower, it'd probably be manageable.

Well, the only thing that i can say to you (other than 'git gud') is to just try, try again.
Try to remember the patters and only count on reflex for the white arrows. You can use logic for the yellow arrows too.

I thought that i wouldn't have beaten the final genocide boss, but i did! (after 102 tries. I counted)

Yep. It's always the third encounter that gets me, the first two I've managed to figure out reasonably well.

Do you have decent armor and healing items? (It's a stupid question, but in my first run against Undyne I didn't have any, and once I did get some I beat her immediately)

I didn't, no.

Dumb luck or the game mysteriously developing mercy for me apparently won out in the end. My most recent go at it was much easier for some reason. No idea why, but I'm not going to question it. XD
