Toriel Glitch HELP!

Hoi! I am playing Undertale when all of a sudden GLITCH!

I walk up to the dead tree in front of her house, and the dialogue with her going "Oh no! I shouldn't have left you out for so long" triggers. She says that sentence, and then the box goes blank, but her talking animation is still going. And then it stays like that for infinity. Help?

I think you are the first one to encounter this glitch. This may be happening if previous runs had a text corruptor mod. Just exit, continue, then it should be fine. A similar glitch happened to me while she told me to flip the switches to open a door. I was in a speedrun at the time and I wanted to go quick. I was right behind toriel but i came so close the game made me unable to move once she stopped to explain the puzzle. I call it- "THE DEATH HUG"

it seems you have run into a glitch just verify the game files

How do i fix this? Im not even playing on steam im playing on a switch and there seems to only be 2 other recorded times this glitch has happened, im stuck on the exact same dialogue ive even reset the game and started from the beginning and still when i get back to that part she gets stuck. Any advice would be fantastic as this seems to be a fairly rare glitch

still doesn't work i even reinstalled windows (i had this happen to me during a speedrun and i was on a perfect run)

It happened to me when I modified my game files. Maybe that's it, corrupted files?

I had that glitch before! when I edited the files for more money I went up to Toriel and that happened to me.
