congratulations on finishing Undertale. have you finished on all the three endings?
no, still ain't finished. play the demo meanwhile. it has enough content to sustain you for a day-two and it is enjoyable experience
good observation! yes
both games are loosely based on same mythology but in different timeline/realities. there are some connections between the games but they mostly a part of fan-servicing, and the games are strictly unrelated. however everything might change with the full release
deltarune and undertale mainly seem to be alternate universes of each other, with both games featuring either the same characters in different scenarios or new characters entirely. as of now, there doesn't seem to be a connection between the two, but we're only on the second chapter and things are bound to change.
there is a theory that undertale sans (and possibly papyrus) are from the deltarune universe, but that's only a theory currently...
Not yet, Im not planning to tho. Doing the Genocide route or even the Neutral route will break my heart. I didn't know that there are different endings in this game until I finished it and started looking up stuff on google which I always do when I loved the game that I finish. I then found out that what I did was the Pacifist route.
I actually killed Toriel on accident at first even tho I dont want to, because she has no hostility. I thought that by lowering her HP to a certain point, she'll let me go, but no, i accidentally killed her. I felt so bad, that I alt+F4'd and replayed the fight. I tried to talk it out because why the heck would there be an "ACT" with a "TALK" option there if it it wouldn't do anything. Then theres a dialogue about what I did in my previous save which shocked me a bit, I didn't expect a 4th wall break in this game, It hinted me to spare her. So I kept sparing her whenever I see a change in dialogue (this is what I did since then to every monster that I faced). Then I saw flowy again and he found out that I used the "Save" feature, which again shocked me, another 4th wall break after the other. I love those kinds of 4th wall break stuff. I became careful since then and try to talk out stuff before deciding if I should Kill or not. And I guess its obvious by now, I never really felt the need to kill them so I never killed a single monster, I enjoyed the fun "ACT" dialogues instead.
I see, i'll just wait for now, I want to binge all chapters. I don't like taking a long break from a game because I just forget stuff and it ruins my experience.
I see. But, what if Deltarune is one of those alternate universes that Mettaton was talking about? It seems that every Undertale characters are there except, the whole setting and theme are different. very interesting stuff.
OOOH!!! That's very interesting! now that you mentioned it, there was a dialogue when Undyne asked Papyrus why they live in snowdin. Papyrus said because it was cheap then Undyne asked why bother about the price when they have the money for a big house. He then told her that Sans pays for it but wonders where he get all the money.
Maybe all Sans's money came from Deltarune universe!!
it is impossible to get Pacifist ending without getting Neutral first. the only way to trigger Pacifist ending is to deliver Undyne's letter to Alphys, and that option doesn't appear until you killed/spared Asgore and fought Photoshop Flowey at end
if your final boss was Photoshop Flowey then you reached Neutral ending and didn't witness Pacifist ending. the final boss of Pacifist ending is Big Angry White Boy whose name you should already know
double-check what exactly you did in the game and what ending you actually got. you might be missing a whole huge part of the game
read that page for details:
https://undertale.fandom.com/wiki/True_Pacifist_Route
as for Genocide ending, consider that stuff too. if you thought that battle/combat is easy then Undyne and Sans will decimate you here. it is totally different experience and explains lots of background stuff
welcome to fanon, your guess is as good as anyone's else
I'll continue it after my work is done. Thank you for the info! That made me even more interested in continuing.
