Is Chara a god? (theory) (spoilers)
Chara is one of the most mysterious CHARActers in the game. (see what i did there?) Most of the info we get about Chara is through Chara themself, or through Asriel at the end of true pacifist.

Because of their mysteriousness (and because this was requested) I've made a theory on how Chara could be a god. (quick shoutout to the undertale wiki for having the chara dialogue)

Chara is VERY similar to Frisk, similar body shape, fashion sense, and even the exact same soul color. When Chara fell down into the world of monsters and Asriel found them, Chara told Asriel that she did not jump down for a happy reason. She probably jumped down in either an attempt at suicide, or a general hatred for humanity which caused Chara to live unhappily. Chara didn't tell Asriel why she jumped down, however. Chara, as Asriel stated, "wasn't the greatest person." One time, Chara "laughed it off" when they made Asgore sick by accidentally putting buttercups in the pie instead of cups of butter. Seems strange, right?

Anyway, on to the evidence. while talking to Chara at the end of the genocide run, if you say to not erase the world, she will say, "No...? Hmmm... How curious. You must have misunderstood. SINCE WHEN WERE YOU THE ONE IN CONTROL?" The use of the words " when were you in control?" are probably referencing the fact that Chara took over your bod- wait, what!? Chara has the abillity to TAKE OVER BODIES!! She took control of Asriel to carry her dead body to the surface and then attempted genocide towards the humans when they revolted. Yeah, that happened.

No character in undertale can take over bodies aside from Chara. Anyway, if you DO chose to erase the world then Chara calls you a "great partner" and destroys the entire world and puts it into an abyss? This isn't even very subtle if you ask me. However, she can take your soul and bring the world back. there are 2 points of evidence there. 1. Chara can take souls without killing
2. Chara can bring the world back even though it basically stopped to exist?

Chara can erase worlds, bring them back, take souls without killing, and take control of bodies. All of those are reasons why I beleive she is a god.

Any suggestions for my next theory?

just saying, but i did say ONE OF the most mysterious.

also, i totally agree, he is insanely smart for a skeleton obsessed with fart jokes and terrible puns.

and he can freaking teleport, wreck the player in 2 seconds flat, and warp time.

don't freaking bring it up! i always thought Chara was female, so that's why i refered to them as "she" even though is should be "them"
