The only thing to keep in mind is finishing a genocide run affects the true neutral ending forever, nothing else is "missable". That's if you really care about seeing everything.
1]Unspoiled players have a 1 in 17million chance of being unable to progress beyond the tutorial area and I've only heard of it happening to ONE such player. Spoiled players have a much higher chance of "accidentally" doing something that will make your life a living hell and causing this to happen.
2]"Whatever I feel like" ending is safe to do. Genocide is actually far more specific than pretend act and mercy don't exist in battle. You WILL know if you "accidentally" activate Genocide. And you'll have lots of opportunities to de-activate it afterwords.
3]Actively TRYING for Pacifist on a first run tends to make people VERY confused about some obvious stuff.
In particular,
3A]Sorry, but you are on neutral. No, do not restart. It will be easier/faster to finish this playthru AND THEN fix your mistakes than it would be to simply fix the mistakes alone.
3B]It's a one man game, and sadly that part is like glitched or something. Just reload the save, work your way back there (much easier now that you have practice), and toggle your fullscreen (F4) during that scene. There's nowhere to go but up from here.
As for spoilers i believe that anyone comes to the forums of a game as sensitive as this has no choice but to willingly subjective themselves to spoilers as consequence if seeking advice and information. There are people that will rage at any tiny mention of anything remotely descriptive as its a "spoiler" and it certainly could be. But its a moot point. The forums contains spoilers. Being here subjects anyone and everyone to them. That should be something to keep in mind BEFORE making the choice to enter the forums, not preserved after being here.
I recommend doing Genocide after True Pacifist for multiple reasons which I won't get into here.
Also basically what everyone else said with the "do whatever you want but be careful about genocide" thing
If you do genocide first you're not gonna get anywhere near as much story, you're gonna get bored of grinding, basically just gonna get a bad and inaccurate first impression of the game.
