did i f*cked up my genocide route?

I was doing my first genocide route, then I get to waterfall. I'm doing alright in my genocide(if that is what you call alright) then I get to a point where theres a piece of wood or something that takes me to a point of no return, i get trough the run of undyne's spears (the first one, where's theres one wooden path and the pillars) and trough the cheese with the stuck to the table checkpoint. I get until shyren and until there i'm still missing 7 monsters. so I keep going but i notice theres no reflection of chara where there are poodles of water where you go with the monster kid. so I go back looking for monsters but i cant find any... help.

There is never a reflection of the First Human in the puddles, and only some rooms have encounters.

As long as you don't get to/defeat the upcoming area boss, you'll be fine. The refelctions are only in debug mode.
