How is Sans the older brother?

I'm really missing something here somewhere, but how is Sans the older brother between him and Papyrus?

Well, it's been hinted by Toby from a tweet. I think it was something about how Papyrus would call his brother in japanese, and Toby said it would probably be by some kind of title, I don't remember what. But basically said title is one of being a respected/elder sibling.

That's all I got. You can google it if you want. ;)

That's just kinda what everyone concluded. Based on Papyrus's more childish attitude and San's superior grip on gravity - altering abilities.
I think Toby might have said it once, but I'm unsure.

There's also the fact that Sans is constantly looking out after Papyrus, even if it doesn't quite seem that way, there are quite a few hints dotted around the game; especially in Sans' room.

^Well to be fair, Papyrus tries doing the same for Sans. After all, who convinced their brother to get a job and stop being so lazy?
I will however say that it is implied that Papyrus hasn't had a job, but Sans used to have one prior to getting super depressed.

Very true. Papyrus constantly tries to motivate Sans for his lazy attitude.

So it's not really official on who is the older brother? Again, danke. Just was curious. Been seeing a lot of folk jump to the conclusion of Sans being the older bro. Heck, it's even on the Undertale wiki.
