How to reset your data with the name Chara
I didn't exactly think that just having the name "Chara" would stop me from fully playing and enjoying the game... Could someone tell me (in detail please) how to reset the game and its data so I can play it as if I just bought it? Thanks!

Either:
Complete the game and then true reset
or
Reinstall the game.

Having the name Chara doesn't change the game at all.

Han Yolo, I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. However, when I opened Undertale again, it still had my old Chara data. What do I do?!

If you are using Windows go to
C:\Users\(name)\AppData\Local\UNDERTALE
and delete everything. Your save will be gone then.

The name Chara doesn't stop you from fully playing and enjoying Undertale.

Sachiko Shinozaki,
When i opened that folder, there are 3 files...
1. file0
2. file9
3. undertale.ini
Do I delete all of these or are their any missing or ones that shouldnt be there?

If you want to fully reset your game then delete all of them. After that start up your game and it should ask you to name the fallen human.

NONE!!
Why does everyone think just having the name Chara alter something?

First off, do NOT use any other "popular" names from the fandom (comics, dubs, fanfics, parody videos, etc). Because one of the most popular names actually DOES prevent game completion, unlike Chara. Well, actually two names prevent game completion, but pretty sure getting reset to title screen upon picking the name is a big enough hint to avoid that second no-completion name.

The Chara name doesn't change the gameplay or prevent completion. Only the naming section and (I think) the ability to change the name prior to a TR. It's just that, since it's a popular name for a certain, you know, people assume it's related to, you know. When it's not.

And, of course, if this is your first time playing, forget whatever spoilers you saw concerning a certain lategame encounter. Knowing that spoiler (further popularized by a video about touching) and acting/asking like you weren't spoiled WILL cause you to needlessly reset.

Having the name Chara does change partial gameplay though. After a little while of reseting over and over, Flowey started saying remarks like, "Don't you have anything better to do?" or "Really Chara? Again?" and then he would disapear without any further dialog...

That happens regardless of what name you chose.

But he says Chara... Specifially CHARA. If and when you play with a different name, he won't say chara. But when you do play as Chara, Flowey says your name .-.
