I want to record. What's the best program?

I'm thinking of starting to record my Undertale sessions. I want to know.. what is the best, FREE screen recorder?

I don't have a mic, but i think audio should still record.

And I don't need my face in the corner of the screen, all I want is the game screen and my voice to be recorded.

So yeah, any reccomendations?

(ps how do I turn of the steam pop-ups abt friend activity?)

If this is your first run and you haven't been spoiled on EVERYTHING yet, I'd suggest trying to at least have the facecam footage recorded/available for future use.

Even if you don't intend to have it showing constantly, there are a few moments in the game where having the visual reaction available to edit in later (either in epsiode, or as a behind the scenes or reaction compilation bonus video) may be worthwhile.

Try out OBS. It's kind of complicated but it's actually used by certain Youtubers when creating Let's Play videos.

Depends on what you're doing. I used a program called "Open Broadcaster Software", which worked well enough, but the playback and editing was so much of a hassle (probably because of the file type it was recorded as) that I gave up and bought Fraps (which costs a fair amount but works a charm) and used the free version of Movie Maker.
