Why Can't You Kill Alphys?

I don't want to make her commit suicide. That's different. I want to kill her myself in-game. Undyne thinks that Alphys can save the world, but we all know the truth. I WILL MAKE THEM BEG FOR MERCY.

Oh look. Someone that didn't understand the geno run and thinks it's all about killing things.

It doesn't really work that way. This is a "pretentious indie game" with meaning behind it. Any 12 year old could write a script in which all characters get killed. This way there's a little more feel to it.

Well in the geno run your ripping through normaly tough charecters like the royal guards in one hit, with the exeption of Undyne and Sans theres very little challenge in the whole thing. Alphys would just be an overkill battle, if she sent the Amalgamates at you... now that would be a different story.

That's why it's CALLED the Genocide run. It's about killing LITERALLY EVERYTHING. I guess we DID kill everything in the end, but I didn't like Alphys specifically.

Creepy, annoying ":)" faces aside, why do you care sooo much about killing Alphys? Why not aim it at the shopkeepers too?

I like Burgerpants. I hate Gerson for being so smug. But Alphys? I DESPISE Alphys. She's (by the process of elimination) my least favorite character in the whole game. I know we all have some similarities to her, and I would do the same thing with the Amalgamates, but I can't forgive her lying to us. Didn't she realize the BAD things that would happen if she lied to us? Why would put your life in danger and almost get you killed and slow you down?
