Xbox 360 controller not working in this game

When my 360 controller is plugged in, I can't play the game with it. It does nothing at all. i've tried a few times, but nothing happens. It works in other games, but it doesnt seem to be working in Undertale. Is there something that I need to do to get it to work?

it may not be compatible with undertale

If you are running Mac, that's the problem. Game Maker (the engine used for this game) does not support gamepads on Mac.

(Also gamepads aren't supported on the demo, so latecomers, please don't use the demo to test if your pad is compatible)

If Windows, not really sure. My wired XB1 controller doesn't work, but my Logitech F310 does work with Windows 10.

I want to include that the Steam Controller works with Undertale, or atleast for me, but it only moves your soul Horizontal and Vertically

xbox is compatiable, but it doesn't work well. Keyboard is better.

ive beaten all of the runs in Undertale with keyboard already, but I just wanted to try it out with my controller.

Xbox controller or pretty much any conrtollers don't work on laptop
