Questions what I have to Undertale fans

As a someone who think that Undertale is mediocre, I have some questions to true Undertale fans so I'd understand some things better.

1.Why do you refer Frisk and Chara as girls?

I know that they both have no genders, and you can pretty much choose what gender you think as them, but after reading forums, I've noticed that pretty much everyone refers Frisk and Chara as girls. Why you think so? Is because of a long hair? Is it because you like the idea of crazy murder girl with knife?

2.Why d you ship some characters?

As someone who thinks pretty realistically, I really don't understand the whole shipping thing. Some of them are pretty disgusting too (Asriel x Asgore, Sans x Frisk, Papyrus x Mettaton) I want an answer what makes you to do them. And I don't accept "because I want" as an answer, I wan to know why you want.

3.Why you think Gaster is evil?

We don't know a lot about him. All what we know is that he was a royal scientist before Alphys and died in accident. Then why you refer him as evil? Is it because of his look? I don't think there's a lot evidence to prove the fact he's evil.

4. Why do you have Muffet as Waifu?

Yet again, we don't know a lot about her, she appears very short time and is already very annoying. She pretty much only cares about money. Of course she wants to help Spiders with it, but what if all Spiders would be same like her? (It would be kinda same thing if Nazi wants to kill you so they can get more money to save more Nazis)And she doesn't look even cute in my opinion. What makes you have her as Waifu then? What's so attracting about her?

Also, some Spiders eat their husbands. Of course not all of them, but Muffet seems to be one of them who would eat.

These are all question what I have now. I'm not here starting flame war, I just want to see the other side of a coin and understand why some people do these things. I'm not judging you guys why you do so, so don't be offended please.

And let's try to be mature and calm here. I don't want to start a huge crapstorm.

2. Though I don't ship ♥♥♥♥ anymore, closest non-cannon ship I do ship is Asgore x Toriel, but as I did once ship, it simply is just because they like shipping, they find the characters good fit.

3. I have never seen people show him as evil.... people usually picture him as creepy, but good.

Maybe, but in those posts OP usually insults people, which makes flamewar began. And I don't think all Undertale fans are easily triggered if someone question their interests what I asked.

1. I think that Frisk is male and Chara is female mostly because the pronunciation of their names in my language does not let me think otherwise.

2. Only non-canon ship I like is Toriel X Asgore. Mostly because I like the idea of a goat family being together.
The reason why people make ships of characters is that they have a certain idea of why those characters should be together. Not all of them are logical, though.

Also there are "crackships", which are made to be cringey so people could laugh at them and have some fun.

3.I don't think that Gaster is evil but people probably think that he's evil because of how he was presented to them.

4. Probably the same reason as for Gaster.

1. I still refer to them as "they" because as a kid everyone has very similar hair and wears overalls, often with striped shirt. Nothing really identifies frisk as female to me.

2. I don't ship.

3. I've seen people show him as creepy, maybe force a little retaliation because he wants to be left alone, but nothing making him seem inherently evil. I've even seen some art where he falls sans and papyrus around and either laughs or cringes at the puns and puzzles.

4. I don't do that "waifus and husbandos" thing, but it's possibly because people find her cute, she cooks, and her fight and song are hard to forget.

i refer to frisk as a male chara as fmale as that is what their names sound like, no ships but frisklamp shold even exist (otp<3) i personally thing gaster was the mtt shop guy before frybutt, and the waifu thing, iits the same in all fandoms, deal with it

1. You choose what gender frisk/chara is because that character is essentially you.
2. I don't ship any of the characters and neither should you
3. I dont think gaster is evil nor good i'm gunna wait until more is revealed
4. I dont really like muffet except for her theme song and boss fight

3. Again, personal headcannons. There's actually a lot of intresting fanstories surrounding Gaster; some potray him as good, some evil, and my personal favorite potrays him as someone who does terrible things because he thinks he has no choice (it's called The Handplates AU by Zarla if you're intrested).

um.... "character" in no way implies "female". chara is an abbreviation of "character".

to op:

1. they are male. because i am male.
2. i dont ship.
3. blame the fangame. gaster doesent really exist too much.
4. the same reason why anyone favorites a minor character with no development, i guess.
