Can you get true pacifist by hanging out with Papyrus?

I know that to get true pacifist ending you have to date Papyrus, but during the fight with him I forgot to flirt. Can I still get the true pacifist by just hanging out with him?

You're telling him that if he does the Papyrus quest as "hanging out" instead of "dating", he can't get True Pacifist, which is wrong. If you don't FLIRT with Papyrus during his battle he calls the "date" hanging out instead, and "Dating Power" is replaced with "Frienship". But as long as you just do that bit regardless of what Papyrus calls it, you still get the requesite for True Pacifist.

I think all I had to do was get his phone number, and I got that just by hanging out so I think I'm good.

Yeah, there's only TWO ways you can mess up TP run so bad that you'll need to restart.


1]You must maintain LV1 and EXP0. If you gain any EXP at all, you'll need to restart.

2]You MUST give the water when you get the chance. Failure to give the water will lock you out of the second phone number related sidequest. Which in turn locks out the rest of TP.

Yeah lol that's why I had to restart the entire game instead of just continuing after my first playthrough, because I forgot to give Undyne the water

"Date" and "Hangout" are almost exactly the same, you just dont have the feeling of being attracted to a skeleton

No actually that is completely true. I didn't give the water once and got locked out.
