another medium
hey you know how this song is really cool and it's called another medium

is it a reference to the medium in homestuck or am i just stupid

A medium is something used for the transmission of something (typically referring to energy or information), or as a surrounding substance in which something exists.

The song is referencing the change in zones and how most of the zones have a medium-related theme. The song itself borrows heavily from parts of Waterfall, and the "medium" has changed from water to lava.

It's probably a reference to the Medium from Homestuck, since the original prototype of the song, called Patient, was originally going to be the Medium's theme.
