So nope, can't really make the demo win.
But deltarune full game will probably beat undertale in length and the story is... very interesting, because deltarune is also kinda having some kind of contact with undertale, especially the fact that sans winks when he says that he has never seen us before.
So nope, deltarune wins. Graphics are a lot better, combat is a lot better, the story is a big hype, there are a lot of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ secrets (especially with the hatch thing where gaster is located).
You could then also compare Jevil and Undyne the Undying.
Fair enough.
Length: deltarune, chapter one is considerably longer than the ruins, which is the equivalent.
You must compare either both games at their full state, or both games at their first chaper, if you compare two entirely different things (like a full game and a demo) any result of the comparison is invalid.
Combat: Well, i like both of them, but i guess you have more options in deltarune, and its also more forgiving.
Story: We dont know the full story fo deltarune yet, and thus, comparison is impossible between games.
If we go with what we know (chapter one vs the ruins) then deltarune all the way.
But comparing just the first chapter is an incomplete analysis at best (still better than comparing a full game with a demo tho)
Gameplay: Tie, agreed.
Secrets: Again, deltarune takes this easily, if we put chapter one against the ruins.
And you dont have the full deltarune, so you cant put it against the full undertale yet.
Combat: Undertale
Story: Undertale
Gameplay: Undertale
Secrets: Undertale
I feel like the people who like Deltarune better only played Undertale once and treated it like a regular RPG and got the neutral route, and considered the game beaten and was done with it.
Did you just compared a full game (undertale) to the first episode of a game that will feature 5-6 when its finished?
If you want to compare on even terms, compare deltarune to the RUINS in undertale, that will be the equivalent of the episode 1 of deltarune.
Comparing a tutorial with a full game is not only absurd, but absolutely invalid.
