I think that even if I had gone in completely blind, I still would have ended up with the "Pacifist" Neutral Route. Right at the start of the Game, it is made clear that one can Interact instead of Fighting, which is a feature I tend to use very frequently in Games when available.
For a very long time, I have had an odd fascination with "Converting" Enemies instead of simply killing them. When it comes right down to it, turning someone to your Side usually gains you a lot more Influence in the long term than simply destroying them would.
As for how that would translate into a Blind Playthrough for me... Well, I would probably be trying to spare everyone even before learning that most Monsters are actually "Good". Besides, they were not doing a particularly good job at appearing "Menacing" throughout the Game... So I would probably catch on very quickly that they are not my typical adversary.
The biggest question is whether or not I would even realize there was a "True Pacifist" Ending after a Blind Playthrough... Although to be honest, I doubt I would have bought the Game at all if I had not done my research ahead of time.
As for the original Question, my favorite Route is True Pacifist. I am not really much of a Pacifist myself, but for UNDERTALE it makes a lot of sense to Spare rather than Destroy... Plus, the Ending is pretty fantastic.
its also the easiest
