because that I feel like the entice undertale fanbase are furries. nothing wrong with that but still I feel like that's one of the reasons why everyone takes hard craps on undertale. its either praising the game or taking anything from a mild ♥♥♥♥ to a heavy ♥♥♥♥ on the game
I can see why folks might not like the Game.
Me personally, I love the Game because of the Story and the relatively vague Lore that lets you fill in the gaps. Reminds me of the Dark Souls and Bloodborne. My main complaint is that it guilt trips you if you try replaying after True Pacifist, but that does contribute to the overall Moral of the Game and adds to the power of its underlying Message.
gameplay wise its lacking, tho the graphics are outdated they are still beautiful, they are suppose to be pixel art because it was inspired by earthbound, and its really impressive for pixel art. the combat is fun and keeps you going on your feet, the game has a whole lot of replayabilty... depending on how many neutral runs you are willing to do. neutral run is boring imo, once you've beat genocide and pacifist your done.
overall i think it is amazing and well written. its a game that i will always hold in my heart, and tho i haven't played through the genocide run yet... i might never. you might find yourself only having the heart to play pacifist, you might throw all of your morals out the window, its your choice.
i feel as if you care about the games morals or any emotional attachment will make the game more enjoyable, i find that those who can't don't care for it as much, but i understand that this game isn't for everbody. but if you don't care for undertales story then no doubt you won't enjoy it that much.
the true pacifist really moves you emotionally, and the game is pretty clever too if you choose to try and literally beat the game up. it has humor, stories, secrets, and more that i love- wait why am i saying all this? i just really really really really...x1000000 like undertale
