Other than that, sell armor and weapons as soon as you find a stronger version, because they take up box space if you don't get rid of them and aren't needed if you find/buy the stronger armor and weapons.
Bisicles are actually a better healing item, because it has 2 uses and heals you to full provided your hp doesn't increase above 20, so it's better to stock up on those and cinnamon bunnies as opposed to anything else during the first half of the game.
Also don't sell or use the pie that you were given at the beginning of the game, it's better to be used at the king
(I would love to be more specific, but I would rather allow you to have a spoiler-free run)
These are:
Tough Glove
Manly Bandana
Torn Notebook
Cloudy Glasses
Empty Gun
Cowboy Hat
Armors can be used for one boss in particular which gives you points for costume changes, it’s not necessary however. Otherwise and after said battle, armors you don’t need can be dropped.
There is a point in neutral/pacifist where you will get permanent access to the box, as well as additional storage space. It’s really enough to store any additional items you might have.
Genocide however is very different and really requires you to utilize your inventory to the fullest.
If you are doing pacifist, bisicles are by far the best healing item to have.
The same boss that gives you points for costume changes also gives you points for using items from a store they own. That would be the only reason to use anything besides bisicles for healing in a pacifist run.
