Pacifist run
So I am trying to finish a pacifist run. I was in waterfall when I ran into the kind of secret temmie fight. I decided to do the whole spare thing. then I realized I was getting no where and needed to act. I flexed at temmie and it died. I now have exp. does this mean it's ruined and I have to restart? also do I HAVE to spare all encounters or can I just flee. (Note: i'm not getting a true pacifist run)

I know you finished Pacifist (and Genocide) already, but getting EXP locks you out of Pacifist. From that point on it was a neutral run.

Also, you can flee from encounters and still get Pacifist.
It only goes against pacifist if you kill a monster using the [FIGHT] command. Ending the battle any other way will count as sparing them. There is a best way to spare each monster which will turn their name yellow in the pacifist credits and give them a more optimistic description. However, you can still get true pacifist without doing these spare methods.

Flexing at Temmie should not give you exp, it is just another sparing option.

Technically the correct way to spare Temmie is to just “talk” to them once, then spare. That is the method that makes their name yellow in the credits.
