While it isn't known what Frisk's and Chara's genders are, a lot of people would like to believe Frisk and Chara are Non-Binary. As such, this goes along with your interpretation of Frisk, seeing as you're the one playing them. For me, I would much rather have them as Non-Binary, it makes things so much less confusing and there aren't any fights as to what I think about their gender when it is brought up. Really, we can't assume, but it IS up to our interpretation of Frisk and Chara,

It does not really matter that if they are a boy or a girl or a genderless. Frisk and Chara never claim their gender in game. Also there no one in game confirm their gender in game. Since any male gender can wear a female outfit and any female can wear male outfit. Also any male can have female like personality traits or both. As for a genderless person. They will tell you that they are a boy and girl at the same time or some time genderless person say they are nether a boy or a girl.

Frisk and Chara are genderless, they must represent the player, so, if you are a girl (frisk and chara are girls), if you are a boy (frisk and chara are boys).
