the amount of fanwritten content this fanbase brings in really makes me question if they see any individuality in creating a universe. can you imagine if there was like a thousand breaking bad or seinfeld fan comics or something? Nothing can match the original writing, soooo why does this ♥♥♥♥ exist specifically in stuff like steven universe, homestuck, fnaf and undertale?

What's particularly concerning is that I've seen way more fan-content for Undertale, like Aus and such, than I've seen for Homestuck.

Homestuck is 7 years old.

Undertale is barely 1.

oh yeah, but that was specifically marketted to cause those things by sega as an avenue to contest super mario sales. the games are legit terrible

I like Homestuck and it's characters, but not it's creator, Andrew Hussie. He has practically no respect for his fans, and shows almost no sign that he even really cares about what he's doing, from what I've seen.

Toby Fox put a lot of work and care into Undertale. He doesn't really care for his fanbase, either, though. But Undertale's story makes sense. I can follow it easily. It took a while for me to understand the timelines and random shenanigans of Homestuck.

well you know homestuck originated as an "ms paint adventure" thing where the audience made the decisions for the characters so he was just making up the universe as he went....i think he stopped that though. unless he didn't. i don't care, it sucks
