Idk. I think I'm pretty sure I'm on the genocide route and Sans has disappeared ever since I killed Papyrus.
No. It's his job to kill you. However -- Alphys kills herself in the genocide route.

Read me again, when you kill all important monsters, she is forced to be the queen because no one else can in the worst neutral.
In Genocide, they tell you that Alphys saved some monsters from you and she hide them (for example, Catty and Bratty)
Is the exact same result, she is forced to be the queen because no one else can.

My intepretation of the genocide route is that "Chara" purposely induced her suicide because they knew that they couldn't get to her -- hence the genocide. You only wiped out major characters in the "Queen" ending, however, I don't think she can cope with what you've done in genocide route (especially if she was watching you via cameras).

She also watches you in neutral, and, in fact, Undyne's death is a lot worse in neutral than genocide.
Actually... now that I think about it, I think you are right, I think Alphys kills herself... but not for what you said, but because, if Sans kills you, that means Asgore is still alive, so the monsters doesn't needs her as a queen because they already have Asgore, so, since she feels like no one needs her, she would probably kill herself.

Well I mean, you didn't literally wipe out entire swaths of monsters in the neutral route...It's a huge step up from just killing boss monsters.

That could be a possibility. I've just always interpreted that she's on Chara's "hit list" because they cross her face out in the Genocide corrupted ending photo of the pacifist ending.

why are we now talking about Alphys?

No, he'd be happy that you're dead.
Then he'd probably go to Grillby's.

Because she is a cool character and she deserves more love from this fandom.
