How to beat Muffet (Pacifist)

If you are in the ruins, worried about muffet, this is the way to do muffet.
just by a spider donut and make it to the muffet fight
and then eat the spider donut at the start of the fight.
yes it is that easy

I actually struggled more on Muffet than Asgore on my first playthrough.

You don’t need to keep one to spare her, though. Using it just ends the fight sooner. Otherwise, you only need to survive up to the third pet attack.

I'd say the fight is worth keeping an inventory / box space full for about 80% of the game.

I think she’s one of the more fun boss fights personally.

Well, it could be enjoyable for some people, though I'd prefer skipping it myself for the sake of "no deaths dialogue" from Sans.
