What is "fun" value? And how does it work and how do you increase/decrease it?

Fun value is a special value in the code, it doesn't really affect much gameplay-wise, but it needs to be at a specific number for the Gaster easter egg, as well as the Gaster followers to appear in your game. however, even if it is at the right number there's still a chance that these easter eggs won't trigger.


as for how you change it, there are two ways:

1. Reset your game. the Fun value changes with each reset

or

2. change it manually, which requires hacking into the game files

How do I reset the game? Is it reset at the menu? Or just close it out then open it? And how do I hack into the game files? To do it by browsing the local files/proberties?

it's just the reset button at the menu. to hack into the game you just get into the local files, and then modify certain files with the Notepad. I hope this helps. if you don't know how to access the local files I can tell you how to do that. it's not that hard honestly.

It's a random number that gets generated with each playthrough. Depending on the value, you have the chance to get certain easter eggs and dialogues you wouldn't get normally.
