Report a translation problem
At least Toby tried, right? I think you might be better off playing in English if the translations aren’t decent.
I'm too lazy to do the OP's job and toss the alleged 'no good' ones they chose to not provide a translation on into a google translate or whatever. Let alone actually look up if any of the 'no good' choices are actually based on Japan-specific eccentricities of history, folklore, gaming conventions/mechanics, etc.
Again, no knowledge of Japanese or experience with the Japan release of the game, so if there is a Japanese native who is also fuent in English who played the JP version and is on here, they could probably provide a far better answer than either of us.
Like, copy paste えぐ over and over in Google Translate and you’ll get some pretty “good” results.
You also seem to have some fundamental misunderstandings about the translation process. There can be any number of "correct" translations; just because Japanese fans translated "beautiful day" one way, that doesn't mean that other translations somehow automatically bad.
Especially after seeing OP's comment, I want to congratulate the translators on a job well done. Their text is colloquial, entertaining, and it respects the original English text.
I'm just going to kindly suggest to OP that you meditate on why you're so eager to bash the translators who clearly poured a lot of love into this work. If you were just trolling then, well, you got me. But since people were actually listening to you, I wanted to step in.
tl;dr No, the translation is very good, and the translators should be congratulated.
