Changing save file
I've been playing undertale a lot recently and have finished all three modes and want to play as frisk to enable hard mode. I've been having trouble, and have seen other's suggestion on other threads, but haven't figured out how to implement anything that's been suggested on Mac. Please help.

But you don't need to edit the files to do that unless you just don't want to finish a pacifist or genocide route.

Anyway, on Mac to get to the save data you select Go at the top of the Desktop, then hold down the Option key. You'll see "Library" appear in the drop down menu. Click that, then Application Support (this is the Mac version of AppData). In this folder you'll find a folder called "com.tobyfox.undertale". Simply empty this folder, then relaunch the game.

If you have the genocide consequences, you'll have to wait through the 10 minute black screen to sell your soul again. Unless you're wanting to remove those as well.

I can't find the Go option

It's not on the desktop

Also, there's no way to change your name after entering one without the save file. If you select reset at the save point, It says, "a name has already been selected", and then a yes and no. If you select no, then it takes you back to the save screen that opens when you start. The only way to reset without changing the save file is to use the same name as before.

you can force a true reset on the screen instead of a reset if put in the undertale.ini file:
[EndF]
EndF = "2.000000"

And putting that in is my problem - there's no space to.

I can't find the Go option
It's on the toolbar with the Apple symbol and Finder.

But it does give you the option if you True Reset, but that involves either getting a pacifist or genocide ending.

My point was you never specified that you didn't just want to complete a run, you wanted to do the change asap.

In or out of the game?
Because there's no toolbar on the Mac screen that has the apple symbol and finder, but there are separate toolbars.
Also, when I start the game, no new toolbar pops up for me to select.
I tried looking in finder under the undertale option, but the only thing that clicking the undertale preference does is open the game, which happens when I select undertale under the apple symbol as well.

It's on the desktop outside of the game, in fact you should have the game closed when trying to edit the save data. It's like mac's version of the START toolbar on the desktop.

so should I be looking in finder, the Mac symbol, or Elsewhere? Because there still isn't a go button anywhere.
