The Possibility of Sans Being in Smash Brothers Ultimate
When I first heard about the whole "#Sans4Smash" thing, I originally just thought this was all gonna be a meme and it'd blow over in a month or so.

And at first I could understand why people would think he'd get an appearance in Smash, seeing as how Undertale was ported to the Nintendo Switch, but now I'm at least 75% sure Sans will be a DLC character for Smash.

This is why I believe that: Toby Fox said that Deltarune wouldn't come to any consoles until it was a full game, yet Chapter 1 has already been released on the Nintendo eShop.

And another thing is at the end of Chapter 1, if you speak to Toriel she will say the following, "What's that game that you and Asriel used to play? Super Smashing Fighters?"

Now I'm probably gonna get a lot of backlash for saying this, but Toby Fox does things similar to Scott Cawthon, so I highly doubt he just put that reference in there for no reason, especially when you consider that this game came out before the whole "#Sans4Smash" meme.

But I wanna know what you guys think! :sans:

Edit: Please don't be a total dumbass like Elpeakmonto, if you don't like my post then don't click on it, not everything is about you.

Joker had a lower chance of becoming a DLC character than any indie game character who exists, because unlike most indie games, his game isn't on any Nintendo consoles. It never got a Switch port, and we don't know if it ever will, but he managed to become a DLC character, so people need to stop using the argument that it's impossible for a character from an indie game to get into Smash bros.

Better or worse than the Great Maze?
Personally, the worst sprinkle on the cupcake in both the Great Maze (practically the entirety of Subspace Emissary) and the True Final Boss Battle in World of Light is the stock system. One character dies and you're forced onto a different one. Hated it in Subspace Emissary. Seeing it back again 10 years later is another thing that has induced me with P.T.S.D.

Truth be told, I never liked the fighting genre. Every single f@#$ing time, it's like fate wants me to fail no matter how hard I try. I am not up for keeping my mind on all inputs and frames in this stuff.

I really need to take an indefinite break from Super Smash Bros. after 100% completing World of Light... twice.
I remember back when I first played through Subspace Emissary. I got home after school and needed to do a lot of work around the house. I was like, "Hey, I'm on the last level of the story mode. I can just finish it off real quick and get my chores done."

Oh how naive I was. . .

Yeah, World of Light was one of the worst story modes I've ever seen in anything
Better or worse than the Great Maze?
I never finished subspace, but with Spirits they cared more about making refrences then actual game balance, leading to this weird range from litterally impossible to fail to complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Theres a difference between real challange and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mechanics thrown ontop of each other to emulate challange

It’s them using both “dunk” and “you’re gonna have a bad time” in the same description. As well as dunk being used in a similar context.
If undertale were been pick for DLC. Base off from Joker update and add on. Joker end up getting these.

1)their own stage
2)a list music back ground
3)Few Mii costumes
4)Few Spirit Character

So this can happen to undertale too. If they pick for dlc.

So here a video about Joker update. Just in case you think that I'm lying.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tAE2EQpJ9w

Simple

Stage: Snowdin

Music: STMPWYFS, Megalovania, Bonetrousle

Mii Costumes: Frisk's Sweater, Toriel's Dress, Papyrus' Outfit

Spirit Characters: Papyrus, Undyne, Grillby

That user need to remember the person picking the character is owner nintendo company and game creator. There no official about undertale being in yet. Many fan user use any thing in game information and official video(combine any thing in the video with their favor game) make it sound like their favor character will be in any way.

Shovel Knight got in, and he's an Indie Game character

yeah, but they use the excuse that he's not an actual fighter in-game, and that if he couldn't become a fighter then no indie game characters can become fighters, and I think that logic is a bit flawed

Didn't change the fact the indie character got in before undertale. It some thing atless for Shovel Knight fans. Better then not showing up at all.

Even you want to debunk those people. If Undertale didn't made it in. Their reason pretty much debunk your instead. In a unreasonable reason way.

I honestly don't particularly get why people are discouraging suggestions from these so-called "rules" floating around the internet when there isn't any official rule to begin with, other than that Sakurai will add whoever the heck he wants. And the only things I've seen that are consistent is that he considers a character's possibly play style in comparison to the existing roster and the representation they may bring. And also if he likes the source material if we look at Joker's case but i digress

That being said, what better game to represent for indie games than the silly little game called Undertale that unexpectedly surged in popularity in the world?

Of course, he could choose literally any other game out there (Cuphead, Don't Starve, Hollow Knight, Minecraft, insert other indie games of your choice) but I feel like it'd be a wasted opportunity if that particular side of gaming is underrepresented. I'd also be fine if there was eventually a rule that all indie game reps would solely be assist trophies as long as there's... well, more titles joining than just Shovel Knight.

actually, there was one rule as far as I know. Sakurai specifically said that he can't add any Manga characters. (that's basically the only rule there is. I'm pretty sure that any video game character has a chance to get in) That being said, anyone who says that there's no chance for Sans (or any other Undertale character) to get into the game because Undertale is an indie game is wrong. If Sakurai wants him in the game, he'll get into the game. Plus, I'd imagine that getting the rights to add an Indie game character would be a lot easier than getting the rights to a character owned by Microsoft (that's just an example though, and I know it might not be the best example, since Microsoft and Nintendo are teaming up for some reason, but y'know what I mean)

Unfortunately though, that means that Goku has no chance to get into SSBU, since he's technically a manga character

It makes me happy to know that at least my favorite manga/anime worlds will never be touched by the stupid World of Light.

I'm pretty sure that World of Light doesn't include the DLC characters though
