No gold, no healing items. Help?!!

Okay, so I don't actually know if there's a topic for this but it's my first time doing a pacifist route. And I'm new to the game.. I used up all my gold and healing items and I'm on a boss (not a boss?) with 2 of the royal guards in hotlands.So uh, am I pretty much doomed or is there still hope..? I normally don't like speaking on the discussion boards due to me being shy but I really don't have any other way except having help here. So uhm, I apologize if this is an inaccurate post or not.. I never really posted on here before.

Ok, so if you backtrack to where Sans is selling hotdogs, there's an elevator.
Take it to L1 and once you head south you'll be back in front of Alphy's lab.
Go south at the save point outside the lab and you will see a cloaked figure on a boat, talk to them and you can quick travel to Waterfall.

In Waterfall, go up and you'll be at the turtle guy's shop. Then go left into the next room. Go left again and there will be a bird that can carry you across to the other side. Once across, go down through the dark room with the glowing blue water and loop up into the room you met Onionsan. Continue through and you'll be at a room with a right and up path. The piano is up, but first you need to continue right and give the statue in the next room an umbrella.

Once, you give the statue the umbrella, a music box song will play. Go back to the up path to find the piano. You want to play the first few notes of the music box song, which translates to:

Z, ^, >, Z, v, v, >

For the arrows, you hold down the arrow and press Z to play the note.

A path will open and a dog will appear in your inventory once you enter the next room. Drop or Use the dog and it will take the artifact, but leave an item called "Dog Residue" in your inventory.

When you use Dog Residue, it fills the empty slots of your inventory with more dog residue, but it also has the chance of creating random HP healing items called "Dog Salads". You can also go to Temmie Village and sell both items to Temmie for gold, just make sure to keep at least one Dog Residue in your inventory. As long as you keep one, you will have access to infinite heals and gold.

Once you have the dog residue, just go back the exact way you came.

Yeah, if you continue past the statue you'll eventually reach the ledge Monster Kid helped you up, but without them it's a dead end.

Gold is limitless, you can farm encounters and spare them for fun, practice and profit.

Still, that boss is easy beyond easy, so probably the best you can do si get some practice, you are going to need it, way harder bosses are on their way.

This battle (which is not a boss battle) is quite easy if you know how to complete it easily. I personally got through it without healing. You just clean RG02's armor, then whisper to RG01 until he starts to confess his love for RG02. If you just can't defeat them without healing items, you can use the tactic I used to defeat Asgore. If you haven't done it already, go to the piano puzzle room which Undyne created. The room after that (which has the statue that is being rained on) contains the solution to the puzzle after you give the statue an umbrella. The statue shall start playing "His Theme" from a music box which is inside the statue. The solution to the piano room puzzle will float over the statue. Once you solve the piano room puzzle, you retrieve the Dog Residue after using the Annoying Dog which is placed in your inventory after trying to take the item which I am assuming is some sort of crystal. When you use the Dog Residue, you can also call the Box to store the Dog Salad that you get from using the Dog Residue. Repeat the process of this to get 8 Dog Salads in your Box. Put the Dog Residue in the box with no other items in your inventory. Collect all the Dog Salads from your box and fill up your inventory. Use these Dog Salads wisely, though. They heal you randomly. Another way to get healing items is using the Dog Residue, multiplying it, and selling it only 7 times to the Tem Shop until you have 1 Dog Residue left, and repeat the process. This gets you gold. The nearest shop to the Tem Shop should be Gerson's shop. Head over there and get some Crab Apples if you wish so. Good luck!

id rather stick to the cloudy glasses infinite gold trick tho.

The Cloudy Glasses trick is better, but you have to have enough gold to be able to buy them.
