Probably not, the game isn't a kind of game that would have a sequel, Undertale is an indie game that got it's time in the spotlight, and I think Toby Fox is already proud with his work and wouldn't want to continue it. It really isn't a matter of money (he made over $20,000,000 from Undertale), and if he is making one it probably won't be much longer until it's released considering how long ago the first one was released, but I doubt we'll see a sequel. The first thing is the kind of game Undertale is/was, if he made a new game it'd have to be a prequal, because if he made a sequel that is to take place after Undertale, where would it take place and what is the story? If it's after a Pacifist Route it'd be on the surface, but how could he make a game with that? The thing is, it'd be a completely different kind of game, Undertale was a Bullet hell, RPG, and mostly story based game. But what would the story be on the surface now that the monsters are free? I couldn't see it being Frisk and the monsters getting humans to accept monsters or whatever, it just couldn't be like Undertale, take Glitchtale as an example, Toby Fox couldn't make a sequel where it has some sort of main villain that Frisk and co. are trying to defeat, it would be too different from Undertale, and I'm not referring to Glitchtale specifically, I'm referring to the kind of story it is, it'd be funny if Toby Fox just copied an AU for Undertale and just put it into a sequel of Undertale. With a game that takes place before Undertale, that is possible and I could see Toby make something for that but I think it'd be better to call it a DLC (or rather for it to simply be a DLC), since making another entire game for the origin of Gaster or one of the other humans would kinda just be odd. I also loved Undertale but it doesn't need a sequel, and with how the first game was, it shouldn't get one either, not because it was bad, but because it wouldn't be able to have a sequel, by that point I imagine Toby Fox would basically be milking the game. But who knows? Maybe Toby Fox is making one and he somehow will possibly make it as good or better than the first game, but don't get your hopes (and dreams) up.

If you don't like Undertale, why are you on here ranting about it in the first place? It's so pointless. I don't care what your opinion is of Undertale, but because you don't like it doesn't mean you should go on here and tell people that it's a bad game :p. The funny thing is, it's a $10 indie game, yet you still hate on it so much and will go out of your way to tell people how much you dislike it. And only one hard boss? That's dependent on the person, and I think that both Sans and Undyne the Undying were hard. And the fanbase? That's literally an entire different thing from Undertale, I can understand you disliking the fandom, it is pretty cancerous I'll admit, but you are hating on the game for the actions of 12 yo fans of the game? C'mon dude, that's honestly immature as ♥♥♥♥. If you don't have nice things to say don't speak. Edit: I also want to mention that it's even more immature to regard the whole fandom as retarded, I can understand someone not liking one of those cringy animations or whatever made by a 10 yo, but you have to be specific or else you are also hating on the people who don't make cringy animations, but actually have good Undertale animations/content. I mean objectively they could pull a telltale and see what ending was the most popular and base a sequel from there or make a sequel to the true pacifist ending(which I think is the canonical one) either way it would completely break the emersion if you were to choose the genocide run so undertale is better off without a sequel(especially since I don't like the game)

True pacifist and soulless pacifist are different things. If you wanted to make a true sequel to Undertale you have to make a single story that is able to take place after either of those endings simultaneously.

Maybe a sequel (or even a "prequel" if it's a "It's set in 201X, but Chara and you remember the events of Undertale" prequel) could check whether or not you did the Genocide route (by checking for either of the system_information files) and be slightly different if you did.
