Was I meant to Reset my game?
So I went through the game not killing anyone except the final boss. It was my first full play-through.

After that I hit continue a couple times and fought Flowy and killed him. But after that the game just seemed to keep repeating the final boss fight. Not sure if I was meant to do anything else so I hit reset and the game has restarted.

Though after looking on YouTube it seems other people had a different ending for not killing anyone. Toriel didn't show up against the final boss for me. Apparently I was meant to hang with Undyne. Must have missed that part, because I don't remember ever seeing this option.

DId I mess things up by deleting my game? So far it's played out like a brand new game. I thought new play-throughs were meant to be different some how?

To get the Pacifist ending you have to not kill anyone, give Undyne the glass of water immediately after her battle, and perform a series of hangouts with Papyrus, Undyne, and Alphys by going to their homes. You can backtrack and do these hangouts at any time once they're available, but you have to do them in the order I listed them.

The kicker is, to do the Alphys hangout you have to receive a call from Undyne on the bridge between MTT Resort and the Core. That call will only become available after you've defeated Photoshop Flowey and backtrack, on top of also completing the hangouts for Papyrus and Undyne.

Defeating Flowey however does carry over into subsequent runs, where he'll refuse to fight you again until you either complete a pacifist or genocide run. This means the call from Undyne becomes available after Mettaton EX is defeated and Alphys runs of to her lab. This means you don't have to go through the New Home sequence and fight Asgore on your second run.

After the hangout with Alphys, you'll be guided to return to her lab where you'll find a note and the way into the True Lab will be open. Once you enter the True Lab you are locked into getting the Pacifist Ending.

Oh, i didn't backtrack and do anything. Does that mean I just have to play through the game again? :/

Will this playthrough be any different? Maybe I'll just YouTube it. Don't think I can be bothered doing it all again.

It's mainly the same, but every now and then there will be altered and new bits of dialogue where characters will have a sense of deja vu.

The pacifist ending exclusive content is definitely worth another run through. I mean, Undertale is a very short game for this very reason.

Eh I already my last playthrough as a pacifist. I just didn't do a couple steps apparently. Can't be bothered doing it again just to do those couple things. It's not a long game but I definitely don't feel like doing it all again. Thanks for the reply!

The final boss and ending is completely different, you only got one of the neutral/normal endings.

First when doing the ending your trying to do (which is True Pacifist even it you didn;t know it was called that) you must not kill any monsters. Date Pupyras by:

After his fight befriend him.

Go back to his house.

Go to his room.

Date him.

Then it comes to Undyne...

The reason you didn't get the option to hang out with Undyne is because you needed to pour water on Undyne's head, you do this by:

Go to the water fountain (not a fountain but like the things you get in work offices).

Interact with it (A Xbox or Switch/ENTER Computer/Steam).

Get some water.

Go to Undyne.

Interact with her (A Xbox or Switch/ENTER Computer/Steam).

Pour it on her head.

Then you will continue True Pacifist.

They may have given Undyne the water, and just never backtracked to her house (which you also have to do for True Pacifist). Her home is pretty easy to miss in Waterfall. My first run I had to look up where it was.
