Sussie and Kris got out, and Kris even killed themselves at the end. Now what?
Kris is basically the Chara of Deltarune.
I can't really deny that I now look at near-enough anything that Toby says or makes through rose-tinted spectacles; but I do expect that Deltarune would still have tickled me a fair amount, regardless.
Plus, like Edgy said: it'd be a bit like saying that the Ruins segment of Undertale isn't particularly funny (in fact, I'd probably say that Deltarune Chapter 1 is more so).
Undertale as a whole had more humour in, of course; but, proportionately, Deltarune is only just getting started - not to mention the very high bar that Toby set for himself with the former, perhaps making the latter slightly underwhelming compared to what you'd hoped for.
I guess we'll just have to wait until the rest of the game is released...
Doesn’t Kris at the end takes their soul out, toss it to the cage and then pull out a knife while having an red eye flash? You can’t even live without an soul in UT universe and I’m sure the same applies for Deltarune.
Anyways I thought Deltarune was very funny so far.
I heard a theory that Kris ripping out the heart, which is the player's soul, is Kris breaking the fourth wall, telling the player that they will never control Kris.
A lot of games doing it makes it MORE cliche.
Bayonetta is one of the few cases where the Light People (the Lumen Sages and the Angels of Paradiso) are the ones who are messing everything up; Not the Dark People (the Umbra Witches and the Demons of Inferno).
