Character Heights

Important Note: This is based on if Temmie was a large dog, because Temmie is oversized. This also uses Undertale Overworld Sprites because battle sprites are inconsistent.

Okay, so I was having a debate with someone over whether Frisk is a child, or any age you want them to be. So I decided to solve it with math.

The average size for a large dog is about 42 inches.(106.68 cm, 1.06 meters)

Temmie is 21 pixels tall, so that means each pixel is 2 inches tall.(5.08 cm)

Frisk and Chara are 29 pixels tall, so that means they are 58 inches tall, or 4' 10”. (147.32 cm, 1.47 meters) That is the average height of a 12 year old. Problem solved, Frisk is a child.

Asriel is 28 pixels tall, so that means he is 56 inches, or 4' 8”. (142.24 cm, 1.42 meters) The average height of an 11 year old.

Sans is 30 pixels tall, so he is 60 inches, or 5'. (152.4 cm, 1.52 meters)

Papyrus is 44 pixels tall, so he is 88 inches, or 7' 4”. (223.52 cm, 2.23 meters)

Undyne is 48 pixels tall, so she is 96 inches, or 8'. (243.84 cm, or 2.43 meters)

Alphys is 32 pixels tall, so she is 64 inches, or 5' 4”. (162.56 cm, 1.62 meters)

Toriel is 49 pixels tall, so she is 98 inches, or 8' 4”. (248.92 cm, or 2.48 meters)

Finally, Asgore is 54 pixels tall, making a whopping 108 inches, or 9'. (274.32 cm, or 2.74 meters)

Please tell me if you think the conversion is wrong, doesn't make sense, or other critism. Also, tell me if I counted wrong on the pixels so I can change it. Also, to make this clear, I don't think of this as 100% canon, but I feel like it's a close representation.

i think it's worth mentioning for reference:
the average american adult male is about 5'9"
Reinhardt from Overwatch, who is just about the biggest and nearly tallest character in the game, is 7'4".
Papyrus is the same height as Reinhardt
and Undyne is 8 inches taller
and for a more real-world comparison, Shaquille "Shaq" O'Neal is 7'1"

Papyrus is a adult, but I hate people who think that he's a child.

I'm pretty sure Toby Fox's deleted tweet said that Papyrus was 14, so a teen was the answer all along.

While the thread is over 4 years old and I very much don't care about the character heights, I will just say that Toriel just calls you my child many times, and treats you as if you were her own child. Which to me heavily implies that they're child-like in appearance, innocent features and whatnot, so I would say the safest option is to call Frisk a child

When you say Asgore's height I just imagine his boss battle sprite standing straight, but his head being the one when he takes out his weapon where it has the shade over his eyes.

Ok, based on NovaStar's calculations(1 pixel=2 inches);
Flowey's world sprite is 20 pixels tall. He's approximatelly 40 inches tall or 4'4"(91,4 cm or 0.9144 m).

that is a terrifying height for a buttercup

that means that sans (who I'm pretty sure is 38) is the seriously older brother
