Undertale

Undertale

Stuttering [RESOLVED]
I'm just at the start of my second playthrough and I am noticing a very consistent stuttering issue. This never happened on my first play. My PC is well above the requirements for this game.

EDIT: "Basically, everything in the game aside from the music momentarily stops almost rhythmically. It is very consistent, happens all of the time and everywhere: moving around, during combat, dialogues, etc."

A 1990's PC could run this game.

It's not your hardware that's the issue. I'd advise making sure your direct X, graphics card drivers, etc. are up to date.

I updated my graphics drivers and restarted the computer. The issue is still unresolved. Sound works perfectly fine, but there is a very clear stutter when I so much as walk around.

Exactly whats happening for me, I even deleted every file of this game and reinstalled.

Are you using any controllers with your computer? Or does your keyboard/mouse require drivers? Odd as it sounds this can cause issues with some gamemaker games.

Also try running steam in admin mode.
If this does not work try running the .exe itself (found in your steam folders) in admin mode.

Exactly the same with me. My first playthrough was completely free of problems.

Go to your graphics card driver and try to enabling or disabling vsync.
Done that gonna test it

Still happening

I'm using AMD. I can see if GeForce Experience will even work on my computer and go from there, but if not you're on your own.

I tried a few things with the nvidia control panel, still no luck here.

Did you do it for Undertale specifically though?
There's global options, then there should be game specific options.

I did it for Undertale yes. Tried all of the vsync settings, still stuttering.

-Your Microsoft Visual C++ updates
