I'm playing the genocide run and ive just killed mettaton, vut the kill counter hasn't gone to 0 yet. Do I reset now cos i messed up or can i just keep playing? also if i do keep playing WHERE ARE ALL THE MONSTERS IN HOTLAND?? i need to kill 27 more

i have the same problem and i need to kill 35 or 34 more monsters, nut ive already killed mettaton. Do i have to reset?

Yes, if you don't get all the kills before killing Mettaton NEO, you forfeit the genocide run. So if you want to fight Sans, you'll have to reset. Unless if you haven't saved after killing Mettaton, then you could just exit the game without saving.

Don't forget, in Geno, your kill count includes Hotland and The Core as 1 place, so if you don't get spawns in Hotland, head over to The Core, the bridge right next to Mettatons fight is good for grinding in my opinion. Theres also the mercenary monsters down the hall of might or whatever its called. They can be killed to lower your hunting count, even if they aren't mandatory.

Sadly no. You must kill all monsters before you face "the boss" of the area. I'm sure you already know this, but

• Ruins-Toriel
  
• Snowden-Papyrus
  
• Waterfall-Undyne
  
• Hotland+TheCore-Mettaton

If you check your saves ypu see how many monsters are left, so like i said, if your having trouble in Hotland, check TheCore. You should be lvl 19 when you get to "NewHome"
