So i've got a theory about the true lab.

So alphys ran experimens on fallen monsters trying to bring them back to life by injecting them with DT or Determination resulting in the amalgamations of monsters appropriately named Amalgamate,and as i know it alphys injected a flower that grew on the bed of flowers Asriel died on resulting in flowey an empty shell of asriel.

There's just one thing were did alphys get the determination from its not something you come by easily, so i think that alphys extracted the determination from chara's soul using it on the amalgamates and flowey.

If this theory is true then that means asriel was brought back to life from the soul of his best friend.

So feel welcome to add on to this theory, find plot holes or tell me your opinion.

I thought all humans have DT? Even some monsters do, judging from Undyne.

the only souls to have DT is chara's and frisk's the others have other traits you can even search it up on the wiki if you'd like.

You're wrong, but HellBell was right. All human souls have a bit of DT. Even some monsters, like Undyne. I don't even know why I need to explain this, but whatever.

* Alphys didn't have Chara's soul, it got destoryed with Asriel's.

* Alphys said in the true lab entries that she extracted DT from the human souls.

* Alphys said in a different lab entry that DT is what gives a soul the will survive after the body has died. And in the fight with Asgore, all the human souls are still there.

* Alphys said in yet another lab entry that she sent the souls back to Asgore.

* Finally, in the Omega Flowey fight. Flowey absorbs the six human souls and gains more DT than Frisk, how could this happen if the humans had no DT?

Also, Undyne also has DT because she reformed after she died, basically resetting with the time manipulation.

All human SOULs have some determination. Chara and Frisk just have a lot more, making it their SOUL trait.

However, it's possible that Chara's SOUL may have been the source of the determination in an earlier stage of development. The generator in the true lab has a red SOUL on it which is never explained, and it would further justify Toriel's disappointment in Asgore which seems somewhat misplaced in the current game. There is no way of knowing.

I think the strange machine in sans workshop is the original dt drainer. that would explain how alphys got the blueprints, as that is the only other reference to blueprints ive found, and it appeared alphy found the blueprints rather than developed them on her own. correct me if anything cannon contradicts this.
