Greater dog resets Genocide route?

Hi guys,

currently working my way through the game the genocide way, but after the greater dog fight, the normally slower music (that indicates you do genocide route) goes away and returns to normal. Apparently running away, killing it and boring it are choices I can't make..

You are supposed to kill it. If the genocide route goes away after killing it, then you are doing something wrong. Very wrong.

Kill it then go back and kill stuff until you get "But nobody came" messages. Nothing is broken because you kill any scripted encounter (apart from the bosses).
