Undertale

Everything weird about sans' death
1. How long he lasts

for having only 1 hp and defense he some how lasted longer than asgore, AND walked away off screen with out even a dust seen. Asgore did, however, take a lot more dammage- 9999999 vs 999999999 or something, but asgore lasted like 5 seconds! This can still be explained as just wanting to add sans' dialog but not asgores, and changed timing for convience, but i wouldn't push this aside.

2. He bleeds- abviously

the weird thing about this is im pretty sure this isn't katchup- great spelling, im sure. the bottles he drinks are underground monster food, witch we are told disolves strait into energy. ALSO!!! while im talking about monster food why would papyrus have to go to the bathroom, IF THEY DONT EXIST!!! *clears throught* anyways, theres three ways to explain this design flaw by toby, katchup jacket, or blood. all three have a problems. in # 3 i will talk about why this CANNOT be a mistake- oh the suspense. It cant be katchup in his jacket because it climbs to his jacket and it probly would have said MISS. it cant be blood because, well, skeletons don't bleed. but what about sans?

a threoy ive heard is that sans took some DT before the fight.

this could mean 2 things

DT causes regeneration for skeletons- unlikely- man i cant spell- no puncutation either- shame

or

3. Red- the color of determination

wow the drama. this is one of the only thing thats colored, specificly red. what other things are red? asgores trident and frisks soul, two things that can interact with the game things- asgore with mercy, and frisks DETERMINATION!

4. Do we even get gold or EXP?! REALY?! we worked hard.... jerk...

so what do you guys think? he? hu? wha?

wait, i have a question. are skeletons completly like monsters? they could react diffrently to DT which would solve some problems, i guess.

They definitely are exactly like monsters. Papyrus doesn't bleed, and turns to dust, so that immediately removes the bleeding option for Sans, seeing as they are brothers.

He could have spare ketchup packets in his shirt for God knows what reason. Ketchup packets can be torn easily, so it would not result in a miss by hitting the ketchup packets, instead the weapon would tear straight through them, stabbing Sans.
you have a point with the "cut throw katchup" thing. but how did the ketchup fill the whole cut, and, a less easy to explain question, how did it get to his mout?
The player could've struck the packets so hard they all burst open, splattering everywhere on him, including part of his mouth. Sans outright drinks bottles of ketchup, and apparantly other condiments if the sentry station filled with them is his, so it wouldn't be suprising if he had enough ketchup packets to fill the cut.

There's another possibility: Sans could've originally been a human and was able to somehow bring some human food, such as ketchup, to the underground, causing it to not disappear into energy immediately upon drinking it. The monsters know about human food, so this is possible.

First up, yes it's ketchup. That's cannon. Toby said so in a Twitter post.
Second off he lasted as long as he did because he was a "Boss monster". Yes Asgore lasted 5 seconds but he wasn't as powerfull as Sans was for sure, even if he did have more defense than him.

But then again Asgore was caught completley off guard whereas Sans had been fighting you with everything he had, he even managed to dodge your first attempt to kill him in his sleep. While we dont "See" him turn into dust, it is implied as he moves off screen and we hear the distinct "Dusting" sound that monsters make when you kill them.

To sum it up; was Sanses death unusual? Yeah, but then again he is a pretty unsual character to start with, so that makes sense.

"Boss Monsters" are not actually the bosses in the game. "Boss Monster" applies to the specific goat-looking species that Toriel and Asgore are. They are the only monsters whose souls are visible momentarily after they die.

ok, but why the color? why color katchup? its so unimportant. it coudn't have been a joke to throw me off if its such an important character (being the seens, with gaster and DT and stuff). so now that the other 2 questions are out of the way, answer for color

I only noticed that color in the battle screen align with SOULs and their color, with a few exceptions like Omega Flowey, Asgore, Asriel, and Sans. Also, the color of the liquid is the same color of the ketchup. Finally, it isn't the same color as the color for Determination, so it can't be that. Remember, color in Undertale is very important. So important, in fact, that Asriel's stripes on his shirt and Flowey are the exact same color. Using this evidence, Toby just wants to ♥♥♥♥ with us.
well, im not believing it's katchup if it has actual color, and i can't think of a reason toby would mess with us if he never messed with us on anything i can think of (im not conting misterious man). so im completrly lost.
ye he had ketchup in his jacket witch explains the stuff which looks like blood
It has never been confirmed if sans does die. Since monsters do not bleed it is likely that sans put ketchup in his jacket to soften the blow (as he has 1 DEF no monster's HP has ever been confirmed.) When you defeat sans (avoiding the word kill) your kill count never goes up. It is quite likely that sans lives. So you cannot assume sans dies if he has no kill registered after his defeat.

1. It says in the game that he only has 1 HP. "Sans. 1 ATK 1 DEF. Easiest enemy in the game. Only has 1 hp."
2. Ketchup can't soften a blow that does 99999999 damage.
3. The reason your kill count doesn't go up is because Chara killed him, not you, so they got the kill.
Well it's just a game so it doesn't have to be realistic. Most of the stuff that happens is pretty random and/or funny, so it wouldn't be such a deal that Sans bleeds anyways.

He probally manages to live on after death just like Undyne. If he's determined enough to kill the player millions of times, he's probally determined enough to live on after death.

"It has never been confirmed if sans does die."
Then how come you get Execution points? He definitely died.

Adding on to this, you hear the dust sound, and you can definitely tell by the way he is speaking that he is hurt.
