Heal candy and Toriel's Pie question

I'm still in the ruins, and I gotten a piece of candy from a bowl that says to "take one piece of candy" and I found out it was heal by accidently selecting the items menu during a fight. But that save is deleted & replaced with my current one, where I still have the candy. And I know that Toriel makes a pie for the player & that it's a heal item. But I'm not sure when I should use them. I'm doing the pacifist run as much as I can for my first time. So I'm not sure if I'll need heal items, but is there a proper moment in the game I need to save the candy & the pie for?

I remember by when I was watching a youtuber play this game, that in one of the videos, he ate Toriel's Pie, and the next video, he informed his viewers that people told him to save the pie, that'd he'd need the pie later. So that's why I'm asking. And i know that the yellow stars restore my health. But I just wanted to ask about the heal candy and Toriel's Pie, if I should save them as much as possible or not?

Heal items should be used when you're low on health, and you will need them on pacifist unless you're some kind of god that doesn't get hit once in any fight. The pie should be saved for Asgore, becauseit makes the fight easier. You should sell any weapons you find at Tem village for the gold to buy more healing items since you won't be fighting.

Thanks :D This helps me out :D And I didn't know that I'd get any weapons at all. But as long as I don't have to fight with them I'm happy :D

Oh okay. I just didn't want the bowl to call me "disgusting" for taking more than one. I wasn't trying to be mean, I had misused it the first time. :p

Good to know that! Anyways, I think I'm too far from the bowl to get more candy anyways. Well, I could got back, but I don't wanna do that "don't step on the leaves" puzzle again. :p
