I read a tweet saying he s having someone or him work on the Chinese language. It may be Japanese, but I am not sure.

I'd make a chinese version excpet I lost the ability to read chinese a long time ago. Also becareful with calling something chinese in terms of speaking. No one actually speaks chinese.

Correct. The term should be "Mandarin/Putonghua".

or the name of any other dialic depending on which one they're speaking.
